Rewordable
An AI-powered word building game
I contributed to the design and development of Rewordable, a critically acclaimed and uniquely fragmented word card game. Utilizing a deck of commonly occurring letter combinations in the English language, players strategically arrange cards to form words of increasing length and complexity, with an added element of competitive card-stealing. The decks were built using AI-powered analysis of the entire English language, and then lovingly honed by our team through rigorous play testing.
Borne out of research at NYU’s ITP, Rewordable was later incubated at the NYU Game Center. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, it was acquired for distribution by Clarkson Potter, an imprint of Penguin Randomhouse. Rewordable was also featured in The Games Bible, by Leigh Anderson.
Recognized for its unique approach to wordplay, Rewordable has received multiple accolades, including the Parents' Choice Gold Award and a recommendation from Mensa Mind Games.
Bustle called it “The ultimate game for wordsmiths everywhere.”
Kotaku said “The best family board games have simple rules but high skill caps, and Rewordable is a perfect example of that.”
